We are requesting a after the fact conditional use permit for a retaining wall within 75' of <br />the shoreline. We were under the false impression that if the walls were a replacement <br />that we did not need this permit. Since we changed the height of this one wall we now <br />need the permit. <br />The Johnson family wanted there failing sea wall, stairs, and walkway replaced as close <br />to original as possible. <br />When existing vertical sea wall was removed and replaced with a 3 to 1 sloped rip rap. <br />The slope of the new rip-rap shrunk the walkway and forced it back into the the grade <br />of the hill.
