i <br /> /� �� <br /> � � o <br /> �e - CITY of ORaNO <br /> � ti <br /> �� G'� � � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �9kESH�4�' NO. � l�. d� � <br /> A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT <br /> � THE CITY OF ORONO WILL RETAIN JURISDICTION OVER <br /> INDIVIDUAL SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEM(ISTS)REGULATION <br /> WH��REAS, the City of Orono has adopted regulations for the design, location, <br /> construction,use and maintenance of Individual Sewage Treatment Systems (ISTS); and <br /> WI�REAS,the City of Orono has an established permitting and inspectionprogram <br /> for ISTS management; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Orono has adopted certain sections of MPCA Rules Chapter <br /> 7080 and is in the process of updating City codes to address recent Rule changes within Chapter <br /> 7080; and <br /> • WHEREAS, Hennepin County has adopted ordinances regulating ISTS in those <br /> areas of the County where local municipal jurisdiction of ISTS is lacking; and <br /> WHEREAS,Hennepin County has requested formal indication from the City that <br /> Orono intends to retain jurisdiction over ISTS within the corporate boundaries of the City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota,that the City of Orono will retain responsibility for and jurisdiction over ISTS within the <br /> corporate boundaries of the City, and will not abandon such jurisdiction unless at least one year <br /> notice is given to the County. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono,Minnesota at a regular meeting held this <br /> 10`''day of January, 2000. <br /> Attest: <br /> � ��� � � <br /> Linda S.
