While most of these fee increases have been <br />adjusted to cover costs, the area of plan revew fees has been adjusted <br />to be in line with the adoption of the 1985 UBC. These rates were <br />last adjusted in 1983 and this would make it administratively easier <br />to be in concert with the communities with whom Orono contracts <br />partially raising the plan review fee from 50% to 65% of the building <br />permit fee to cover essentially zoning review costs. <br />Significant change areas include: <br />Golf Fees <br />Mechanical Fees <br />Kennel Fees <br />New Fees: <br />Driveway Permits <br />Sewer Connection Fees <br />5-15% <br />15-20% <br />$100 to $150 <br />$30.00 <br />Established ones for areas not <br />previously having fees based on <br />assessment. <br />In addition the City incorporated the various sewer connection charges <br />into the body of the fee ordinance so that staff is cognizant of those <br />when sewer hookup is determined. Additionally the City has instituted <br />the following new fees for 1987. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the above fee adjustm-2nts for <br />1987 be adopted as they are in line with the costs that the City <br />incurs for undertaking of those activities. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by _, to adopt Ordinance , <br />Second Series establishing the Fee Schedule foi 19P7 together with the <br />attached summary for publication.
