7-Nt" <br />City ®f OR ONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />PER MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.20, SUBDIVISION 3 (D) <br />FILE #1095 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono (hereinafter "the applicant") is <br />the owner of the property located at 2345 Blaine Avenue within the <br />City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br />That part of Lot 5, Block 9, Townsite of Langdon Park, Hennepin <br />County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning at a point on <br />the East line of said lot distant 495 feet North of the Southeast <br />corner of said lot: thence West 132 feet parallel with the South <br />line of said lot; thence South 200 feet parallel with said East <br />line; thence East 132 feet parallel with said South line to said <br />East line; thence North 200 feet along said East line to the <br />point of beginning (hereinafter "property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City of Orono for <br />a conditional use permit to permit the installation of an emergency <br />preparedness siren per Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.20, <br />Subdivision 3 (D). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1095. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lC Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential District. <br />3. On November 17, 1986, the Orono Planning Commission, reviewed <br />the application as proposed and recommended approval based on the <br />following finding: <br />T`_e proposed emergency preparedness siren will be located at <br />least 50' from all neighboring residential property lines, <br />and will be located within the fenced boundaries of the City <br />of Orono water plant property. <br />4. A public hearing was held on November 17, 1986 at which time <br />all interested members of the public were allowed to comment on <br />the proposal. There were no comments from the public. <br />5. The City Council has considered this application including <br />the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission, <br />reports by staff and comments of the applicant and the effect of <br />the proposed use on the health, safety and welfare of the <br />community. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
