ROLL <br />l\tllNUTE.S OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />· _Monday, March 21, 2005 <br />6:00 o'clock p.m. <br />The Orono Planning Commission met on the above-mentioned date with the following members <br />present: Chair David Ralm, Commissioners Roland Jurgens, Cynthia Bremer, Janice Berg, Travis <br />Winkey, and Ra1ph Kempf. Representing Staff were Planning Director Mike Gaffron, Planners Me1anie <br />Curtis and Janice Gundlach, and Recorder Jackie Young, Council Member Jim Murphy was present. <br />Conunissioners J. Marc Fritzler and Jim Leslie were absent. <br />Chair Rahn called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. <br />CONSENT <br />Chair Rahn opened the public hearing for Items 1, 2, and 3. <br />There were no public conunents regarding these applications. <br />Chair Rahn closed the public hearing. <br />1. #05-3075 MITCH AND KIM OLSON, 3275 CARMAN ROAD, VARIANCE, <br />6:01-6:02 p.m. <br />Bremer moved, Berg seconded, to recommend approval of Application #05-3075, granting of <br />hardcover variances, lake setback variance and average lakeshore setback variance for the <br />property located at 3275 Carman Road. VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />2. #05-3090 JEFF ENGLER, 2760 SHADYWOOD ROAD, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO INSTALL PERMANENT DOCK-PUBLIC BEARING, 6:01 -6:02 p.m. <br />Bremer moved, Berg seconded, to recommend approval of Application #05-3090, granting of a <br />conditional use permit to permit construcHon of a permanent dock for the residence located at <br />2760 Shadywood Road. VOTE: Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />3. #05 -3096 MINNETONKA PORTABLE DREDGING ON BEHALF OF BEN FAUS, 550 <br />BIG ISLAND, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, 6:01 -6:02 p.m. <br />Bremer moved, Berg seconded, to recommend approval of Application #05-3096, granting of a <br />conditional use permit to allow construction of a permanent piling dock.
