Zoning File #1659 <br />August 6, 1991 <br />Page 3 <br />Additional Comments and Planning Commission Recommendations <br />Staff advised the Planning Commission that the DNR <br />representative (John Stein) was contacted for comments <br />concerning the proposed vacation. Mr. Stein concurred that in <br />light of the current pattern of ownership and 5 acre minimum lot <br />size for Big Island properties that the existing access serves no <br />public purpose. The DRN would support the proposed vacation of <br />the 20' wide alley. <br />As for the bike trail issue, as with the Jeff Johnson's <br />application, we have enclosed copies of the bike trail system <br />approved by the Park Commission and adopted by the Council. <br />There are no bike trail systems proposed within Big Island. <br />The Planning Commission recommended unanimous approva 1 of <br />the proposed vacation. The enclosed resolution has been drafted <br />for Council's review and action. <br />lsv
