MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING -AUGUST 26, 1991 <br />JOINT TRAIL -CONT. <br />Jabbour <br />development <br />communities. <br />felt that Orono is <br />of this type of system <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />There were no public comments. <br />really lagging <br />compared with <br />(#7*) ZONING FILE #1366 LOREN BUTTERFIELD, <br />3925 WATERTOWN ROAD <br />behind in <br />surrounding <br />REQUEST TO EXTEND EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF PRELIINARY SUBDIVISION <br />APPROVAL -RESOLUTION #3004 <br />FINAL PLAT APPROVAL -RESOLUTION #3005 <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Goetten, adopt <br />Resolution #3004 granting extension of the effective period of <br />preliminary plat approval for the plat at 3925 Watertown Road, <br />Loren Butterfield, to September 1, 1991; and to grant final plat <br />approval for the Loren Butterfield plat at 3925 Watertown Road <br />per Resolution #3005. Ayes 4, nays O. <br />(#8) ZONING FILES #1606, #1660 & #1659 <br />BIG ISLAND INC., RECORD LOTS 12 & 19, BIG ISLAND <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT/VARIANCE -RESOLUTION #3006 <br />VACATION -RESOLUTION #3007 <br />Mr. Thomas Judd was present for th~ review. <br />Gerhardson explained the applicants request a conditional <br />use permit and variance to allow day use activities with some <br />overnight camping, and to allow structural repairs to a deck <br />located within _the lakeshore protected zone. Applicants are <br />also requesting the vacation of the dedicated right-of-way. <br />Mabusth explained that the portion to be vacated runs <br />between the two parcels owned by applicant and together the <br />parcels equal the 5 acre minimum lot requirement. She also noted <br />that the Planning Commission requested conditions to be <br />incorporated within the resolution of approval. <br />Butler asked if the concerns of the adjacent neighbor, <br />Erickson, have been satisfied. <br />Mabusth noted that all concerns have been addressed and that <br />the City has received no further input from either the Ericksons <br />or their attorney. <br />Butler felt that the use was in keeping with the zoning for <br />the property, but she felt that the use should be properly <br />inspected. <br />Goetten asked about the deck to be constructed. <br />5
