SITE iWALUATION MFORT
LOT 2, BLOCK i
7AIRdAY VIT:1
11-29-80
On November 27-29, 1980 six percolation. noles were tested and
three soil borings taken on the above lot to uetermine the suita-
bility for both a pr;mary and alternate drainfield site.
The percolation holes were dixg 6 inches in diameter and 36
inches deep with bucket type hand augers. The digging was diffi-
cult since many small rocks were encountered at the one and a half
foot depth. The soil borings were dug,6 inches in diameter to the
L foot depth and a diameter to the 6 foot depth, also
with bucket type har,' _ _)rs.
This lot is loca', ainly in the Hayden Loam soil series and
yielded an average perec- ation rate of 5.3 minutes per inch for
the primary* drainfield site. In addition, no indication of a high
water table existed so a standard drainfield system could be con-
structed. The alternate cite wRs situated on a saddle between two
low areas and yielded a better percolation rate but because of the
possibility of a high water table at certain times, a shallo•.a
trerich system mould need to be used here should the need ever a-
rise. The::e trenches would be constructed about a foot deem in the
natural soil with some fill beinr, placed over the top.
Because there is such a small area that is available for both
a building site and a drainfield it will be somewhat tight placing
the house on i;iie lot, but enough room should exist for a 'Liuuse of
n rnal width to be constructed. Additional design information fol-
lows in this report. O"hould any other information be needed, please
co„tact me.
Sincerely,
PERCOR, INC.
nark % Gronberg, P.E.
