�� °� <br /> ,� o 0 <br /> �e. - CITY of ORONO <br /> � � <br /> � G'� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ��kESH.�4� 'NO. � e�D "�J � � <br /> A RESOLUTION SETTING OUT THE PARAMETERS <br /> OF THE CITY OF ORONO'S INVOLVEMENT <br /> IN THE REPLACEMENT <br /> ' OF THE LONG LAKE FIRE STATION - <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono,Minnesota, as follows: <br /> Section 1. BACKGROUND. <br /> 1.01. The Long Lake Fire Station needs to be replaced because it is being taken as right-of-way.for <br /> the Highway 12 upgrade project. <br /> 1.02 A committee with representatives from the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department's fire <br /> _I� service cities is in the process of selecting a site for the new f re station. <br /> 1.03 Mn/DOT will fund a portion of the costs of the new fire station. <br /> 1.04 Orono has traditionally been fiscally conservative in its finances,including funding for public <br /> facilities. <br /> 1.05 The City of Orono pays 72%of the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Departrnent costs. <br /> 1.06 It is important that the fire station planning committee and Mn/DOT have an understanding <br /> of the pazameters of the City of Orono's involvement in the replacement of the Long Lake <br /> Fire Station. <br /> Section 2. COUNCIL ACTION. � � � � � <br /> 2.01. The Orono City Council does hereby adopt the following parameters regarding the City's <br /> involvement in the replacement of the Long Lake Fire Station: <br /> A. No land is to be detached from the City of Orono and annexed into the City of Long <br /> Lake for the Long Lake Fire Station site. . <br /> • � Page 1 of 2 <br />
