Applicant is requesting a side setback variance to <br />allow attached garage to be 0.6 feF'- `rom the side lot line. <br />Planning Commission at their 10,"20/86 meeting recommended <br />approval on a vote of 3-1. The majority opinion found that there <br />are hardships to alternate locations for thc. garage on the <br />property, and the proposed location is the most feasible location <br />given the facts. The minority opinion was that the hardships are <br />questionable and don't justify granting the variance. <br />Please take the opportunity to view the property if possible. <br />Staff's comments and recommendation are contained in the memo of <br />10/17/86, Given that the Planning Commission recommended action <br />was not unanimous, staff requests Counci l's direction and will <br />bring back a resolution for approval or denial to your next <br />meeting. <br />
