102386.3 <br />C' C i <br />TO: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator <br />FROM: Lorraine McGowan, Liquor Store Manager ►,t <br />DATE: October 20, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: Part Time Employees - James Krueger - Connie Manuel - <br />Chris Fink <br />James Krueger is no longer employed at the Orono Liquor Store. <br />That leaves us a little short for part time hours. <br />Connie Manuel, who went to work for Republic Airlines is about to <br />be laid off. She would like to come back part time temporairly. <br />I am requesting to hire her back at the same rate $5.65 per hour. <br />Her ability and experience are a great asset to the store. Also <br />if I am to take some vacation time I really need her to fill in <br />the hours. <br />Chris Fink has been with us over 3 months and has proved to be a <br />reliable and responsible employee. I am requesting his wages be <br />increased from $4.75 to $5.00 per hour (the same as Blake Theis). <br />He has taken responsibilities, such as locking up at nite, taking <br />care of the beer cooler, back stock room and can be left alone to <br />run the store. <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator <br />ISSUE - A.) Consurance for rehiring of Connie Manuel as a part time <br />employee. <br />B.) Increase in wage for Chris Fink to re ognized increased <br />responsibilities and experience. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by _, that the Orono <br />Council concur in the hiring of Connie Manuel as a part tiem employee <br />at $5.65 per hour and that Chris Fink be increased in salary $4.75 <br />to $5.00 per hour.
