A RESOLUTION ORDERING ABATEMENT <br />OF HAZARDOUS BUILDING ACTION AT <br />4635 TONRAVIEW LANE, ORONO <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized <br />and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, Dennis A. Meyer, 4731 North Shore Drive, Mound, MN <br />55364, is the owner and Richard Laughlin of 4635 Tonkaview Lane, Mound, MN <br />55364, has an interest in the property located at 4635 Tonkaview Lane, <br />Orono, Minnesota, herein referred to as "the property", and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Tract D, Registered Land Survey No. 1036, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br />(P.I.D. 07-117-23 32 0027); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono, having duly <br />considered the matter pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 to <br />463.261, hereby finds that the above described property is uninhabitable <br />and contains unsanitary and hazardous conditions which constitute a public <br />nuisance and which makes this property hazardous to the public health, <br />afety and welfare based on the following findings: <br />1. Interior walls: stud wall east end is rotten. <br />2. Interior ceilings: rafters appear to be under sized. <br />3. Exterior walls: in a state of disrepair, wood rotten '--hrough out <br />and east wall has moved off slab. <br />4. Exterior sills: rotten. <br />5. Exterior doors: poor condition, broken and not in f-ame. <br />6. Roof: leaks, asphalt shingles are deteriorated. <br />7. Soffits: rotted off. <br />8. General Site: pick up truck next to building is inoperable, tire <br />off, appears as if it has sat for some time. <br />9. Electrical service: from principal building, make -shift. <br />10. The building is in a state of deterioration and dilapidation, thus <br />i'L is a safety and health hazard pursuant to Minnesota State Building <br />Code/Un form Building Code, Section 203. <br />11. Orders to remove or repair the structure were issued by the <br />Building Official on February 3, 1986. These orders have not been <br />complied with. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
