Gerhardson, Public Works Coordinator <br />DATE: October 23, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: Petition - Bike Hike Trails <br />LIN <br />In September 1986 the City of Orono received a petition from <br />residents in Orono requesting a seperated Bike Hike Trail to <br />connect the Luce Line Nature Trail to the Morris T. Baker Park <br />Reserve. <br />On October 7, 1986, the Orono Park Commission reviewed the <br />petition and determined that the Pa.-k Commission should review <br />the Bike Hike Trail system already established in Orono while <br />reviewing the petitioners request. <br />The Park Commission will begin their review of the Bike Hike <br />Trail system in November 1986. When the review is completed the <br />Park Commission will present its recommendation to Council. <br />TO: Mayor and Council <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City AdministratoR1 <br />Forwarded for Council information. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by _, to accept the petition <br />regarding a Bike/Hike Trail from the Luce Line to Baker Park and <br />accept staff information on the matter.
