GLEN NELSON <br />S00 TONKAWA ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:15-8:26 <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />was noted. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron explained the <br />request to allow a guest apartment within the principal <br />structure. It was noted that the proposed additions <br />meet all setback requirements. The northwesterly wing <br />addition is to contain kitch/bath/living room/bedroom <br />connected to house only through garage, has its own <br />separate outside entrance - proposed only for guest <br />apartment use and "staging" area for catered affairs. <br />Representing the applicant, was their architect Dale <br />Mulfinger. He showed the Planning Commission a scale <br />model of the proposed additions. He noted that the <br />apartment will be used for guests, mother-in-law, and <br />possible live-in employees. The purpose of the <br />additions are to provide more square footage for <br />entertaining. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron noted that there <br />are no hardcover or area problems. He also noted that <br />the variance would 13e filed in the chain of title <br />therefore not transferrable to a different owner. <br />No one was present from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Bellows, to <br />recommend approval per staff's recommended conditions. <br />Motion, Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />#1069 JIM WILLIA14S <br />2725 ETHBL AVENUE <br />VARIANCE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:28-8:40 <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />was noted. <br />Jim Williams was present for this matter. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron explained the <br />requests as follows: ` <br />1) Side setback variance to add a second story to <br />applicants existing house which is 4.2' from the <br />side lot line. Noting that applicants house is <br />generally down hill from the affected residence to <br />the north which is 43' from the lot line cleating <br />3ittle impact on the affected neighbor (.affected <br />neighbor has not comma ,d on the proposal). <br />
