It was found <br />that the location would be best on the west and south sides of the lot <br />(Exhibit F). Orono Ordinance requires that well locations not be closer <br />than 75' from the sewage disposal system, therefore, the proposed location <br />is the only acceptable location. <br />Side Setback Variance: <br />Required = 30' <br />Proposed = 10' <br />Variance = 20' or 66% <br />As per the well location variance, the location of the structure was <br />also affected by the septic system location. It is felt by staff that by <br />moving the septic system to the proposed location (Exhibit F), less of a <br />hazard to the lake wi 11 be created, and the proposed plan wi 11 not create a <br />hardcover problem (Exhib.,t H). <br />Staff Recommendation - <br />Staff recommends approval of a conditional use permit and variances <br />subject to the following fi:,dings: <br />1. No other land is available. <br />2. Topography restricts the location of the septic system to the <br />proposed location. <br />3. Location of septic system restricts the location of the well and <br />lake home. <br />Approval is based on the following conditions: <br />1. A new certificate of survey with proposed location of lake home, <br />well and septic system as shown must be submitted. <br />2. New sewage disposal system testing must be provided and approved <br />by staff. <br />
