Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 <br />The City of Orono has been requested to vacate the unimproved street right of way of Meta <br />Comet Avenue on Big Island. No development is contemplated. The parcels on either side of the <br />street are owned by the same person. He feels he will be better able to discourage trespassing if <br />he also has control of the right of way. <br />Enclosed are a map and a survey identifying the proposed vacation. There are overhead utility <br />lines within this right of way that serve 340 and 350 Big Island so a utility easement will be <br />maintained over the northeasterly portion of the right of way. Please advise whether you have <br />any objections to the total vacation of the remainder of the right of way. This item will be on the <br />December 14 City Council agenda. Receipt of your comments before December 7 would be <br />appreciated so we may prepare resolution and allow council to take final action on that date if <br />they so choose.
