·--;-j <br />City of Orono <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Regular Meeting of the Orono Council, December 30, 1982 <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Mayor Van Nest, <br />Councilmember Butler, Councilmember Adams, and <br />Councilmember Hurr. Absent: Councilmember <br />Frahm. Also present: City Attorney Malkerson, <br />J. Diann Goetten·of the Planning Commission, John <br />Hammerel of the Planning Commission, Charles <br />Kelly o( the Planning Comrr{ission, George Rovegno <br />of the Planning C6mmission, Ed Callahan of the <br />Planning Commission and Mr. Bill Sime newly <br />appointed Planning Commission member, City <br />Planner Alan Olson, and Deputy City Clerk Sandi <br />Woytcke. <br />Co~ncilmember Butler moved, Councilmember Hurr <br />seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda* as <br />presented. Motion, Ayes (4) -Nays (0). <br />PUBLIC HEARING -LAKE MINNETONKA ISLAND ORDINANCE <br />Mayor Van Nest opened the Public Hearing at 7:33 <br />P.M. explaining the circumstances of this meeting <br />being reschedulecl · because of the blizzard of <br />December 28. <br />City Planner Alan Olson then reviewed the <br />Ordinance explaining that since October 25, 1982 <br />the rewritting consisted of changes that were <br />suggested by the public. <br />Mayor Van Nest then asked if there were any new <br />comments from the Public regarding this <br />ordinance. <br />Willie Crear 56 Westwood Drive, Long La~e stated <br />he is a new owner on Big Island. He purehased his <br />property from Mr. Roy Ahern who is a long term <br />property owner on Big Island. He owns 3 pieces of <br />property on the island; the house that is his <br />current summer residence, identified as parcel <br />~58 what is called the Snyder house, identified as <br />parcel D5 and also behind the Snyder house on the <br />other side of the road right of way there is <br />another piece of property.
