f} <br />9486.1 <br />TO: Mayor and City Council r `� <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administratorl11. <br />DATE: September 4, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: Administrator's Information <br />DEERING ISLAND - Staff has undertaken draft of a letter to Mir. <br />Scherber based on additional information regarding the use of <br />Deering Island. This letter will outline to Mr. Scherber that <br />any use in conjunction with Excelsior Bay Yacht Club will <br />constitute a violation and the City will undertake appropriate <br />criminal and civil remedies in order to insure that it <br />ordinances are complied with. <br />GOAL SETTING_ - Attached plt ::se find the end of August goal <br />setting. <br />DAK_OTA RAIL - As you may be aware Dakota Rail will be starting <br />their dining service September 12th on a route that starts in <br />Spring Park, goes to Wayzata, comes back through Spring Park to <br />St. Bonfacious and then back to Spring Park. Initially it will <br />apparently be done on the weekends this year, but starting next <br />year are intending 7 day a week Gcrvice. <br />2695 CASCO POINT ROAD - As you may be aware the City was sued by <br />the property owner abutting 2695 Casco Point Road regarding <br />drainage. It was interesting to note that the property owner at <br />2695 was not included in the suit. The City has been granted an <br />extention for a reply to September 15, 1986 and this is currently <br />being handled by the City Attorney. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA-ACCESS - As you may be aware, Minnetrista was granted <br />a temporary injunction preventing DNR fro:nConstruction of a "temporary" <br />boat access at Kings Point. This will probably place it in limbo <br />until spring. Additionally the City has received a notice from <br />Hennepin County Pirks for a "Kick Off" tour on September 20th from <br />10-2.
