The Commission approved the budget at its meeting <br />of August 19, 1986. This budget is sent to you in accordance with the provisions <br />of the Joint Powers Agreement for the Commission in Article IX, Section 3. <br />The Joint Powers Agreement provides for a review and approval of the Commission <br />budget by the member cities. The budget shall become effective only if approved by a <br />sajority of the members within thirty (30) days after your receipt. If the budget is <br />not timely approved by a majority of the members, the Commission must adopt a revised <br />budget and submit it to each member for review and approval. <br />Consequently, the Commission recommends that your city council review and <br />approve the enclosed budget within thirty days of your receipt of this letter. I <br />have enclosed a sample Resolution which can be used for this purpos'. <br />Upon your city's approval of the budget, please forward to me a copy of the <br />budget with the executed Resolution at the above address. Please note the time <br />limitation within which the city approve the budget. if the thirty day peri^d <br />presents a problem for your c-lty, please contact me. <br />Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
