f.iJ I n <br />�.^.J <br />!MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD(jj"Vopp � <br />NOERENBERG PARK DEVELOPMENT continued <br />Regarding the parking lot design, staff thought they <br />would reduce the size of the parking lot when they were <br />required to cut the proposed number of parking spaces in <br />half, however they merely cut out the "wing areas" in <br />order to allow easy expansion if needed in the future. <br />Councilmember Adams stated that the design for the <br />parking lot should be for 26 cars and should be well <br />screened from the neighbors. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams, to approve the City's revised <br />grading plan. r.nd send the parking plan back to Hennepin <br />Park District for re -design. Motion, Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />BIG ISLAND VETERAN'S CAMP <br />Councilmember Grabek raised an inquiry regarding the <br />intent of the Veteran's camp on Big Island and the <br />Hennepin Park District. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated that staff would <br />check into it. <br />MAYOR'S REPORT: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY APPOINTMENT <br />Mayor Butler stated that the appointment of Planning <br />Commission member Ed Callahan to the Council leaves a <br />vacancy on the Planning Commission. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson submitted staff's <br />recommendation to fill the vacancy. <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, to appoint Jim Hanson to the Planning Commission <br />for the term effective July 29, 1986 through December <br />31, 1987. In addition to this appointment the following <br />classification.: are adopted for each of the Planning <br />Commission members: <br />George Rovegno Jr. - Urban <br />Charles Kelley - Rural <br />G1or-4a McDonald - Urban <br />J.
