St- 'rF11Q <br />l'.UU 1. jgZ'p <br />ORDINANCE NO. , 2ND SERIES <br />AN ORDINANCE OF TOE CITY OF ORONO, MINNESOTA, AMENDING ORONO CITY <br />CODE CHAPTER 2 ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION AND GENERAL GOVERNMENT" <br />AND ORDINANCE NUMBER 8, 2ND SERIES BY CHANGING P. PROVISION <br />RELATING TO SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS; AND, BY <br />ADOPTING BY REFERENCE ORONO CITY CODE CHAPTER 1 RELATING TO <br />DEFINITIONS AND GENERAL PROVISIONS. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br />Section 1. Orono City Code Sec. 2.17 is hereby amended <br />to read: <br />SEC.2.17. SALARIES OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />Subd. 1. Salaries of the Mayor and Council <br />members, effective January 1, 1987, and which amounts are deemed <br />reasonable, are hereby fixed as follows: <br />A. The salary of the Mayor shall be $3,600.00 per <br />year, paid monthly. <br />B. The salary of each Council member shall be <br />$2,900.00 per year, paid monthly. <br />Subd. 2. In accordance with Minnesota Statutes, <br />Section 415.11, any changes in the foregoing shall be by <br />ordinance and shall not take effect until after the next <br />succeeding City election. <br />Section 2. Orono City Code Chapter 1 entitled "General <br />Provisions and Definitions Applicable to the Entire City Code <br />Including Penalty for Violation" is hereby adopted in its <br />entirety, by reference, as though repeated verbatim herein. <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force from and after the date of its passage and publication. <br />Passed by the City Council this llth day of August, <br />1986, by a vote of ___ ayes and _ _ nays. <br />Mary C.
