MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JULY 14, 1986 <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S PVPORT: <br />AUDIT REPORT* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Adams, seconded by <br />Councilmember Frahm, r.o accept the independent <br />Auditor's Report c;n the financial condition of the City <br />for the 1985 f. sc 3'_ year ending December 31, 1985. <br />Motion, Ayes 5. stays 0. <br />HIGHWAY 12 CORRIDOR STUDY MEETING <br />Mayor Butler noted the next scheduled Highway 12 <br />Corridor Study meeting on July 16, 1986, at 7:30 P.M., <br />at the Orono Sc)-,uc l Auditorium. <br />WAYZATA BUILDING INSPECTION CONTRACT,/* <br />BLDG. INSPECTOR SALARY ADJUSTMENT <br />It was moved by Councilmember Adams, seconded by <br />Councilmember Frahm, to accept the contract between the <br />City of Orono and the City of Wayzata for building <br />inspection services, which commence 1 June 1986 together <br />with approval of a 10% salary increase from $25,305 to <br />$27,835 for Mr. Tom Jacobs effective 1, June 1986 also. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />RROGNESS - STUBBS BAY ROAD - <br />RRQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request <br />from Mr. Stephen rogness, 605 North Stubbs Bay Road, <br />requesting the city to repair the driveway apron to his <br />residence. Mr. hrogness's driveway is very wide as it <br />intersectL at Stubbs Bay Road and is in excess of 100 <br />feet. the wide approach was constructed several years <br />ago by the previous owner. <br />Steve M. Krogness and his attorney, Marlon 0. Haugen, <br />were present for this matter. <br />Mr. Krogness stated that he is asking the City to repair <br />their public right-of-way. He stated that the location <br />and width invites the public, including City vehicles to <br />use his driveway as a turn -around, and such heavy use <br />has caused the damage. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained that all <br />driveways extend in the City right-of-way and all are <br />privately maintained. <br />Councilmember Frahm questioned the :rcentage of damage <br />Mr. Krogness felt was done by City vehicles. <br />Mr. Krogness responded by stating probably 90• of the <br />damage was done by heavy vehicles not necessarily City <br />vehicles. <br />8 <br />
