. . q <br /> • <br /> d Cit� o� ORONO <br /> Q,� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL .. <br /> � NO. 1447 <br /> • <br /> • � • • . <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING REALIGNMENT OF <br /> LONG LAKE-WAYZATA FIRE ZONE BOUNDARIES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono has within its boundaries four <br /> fire zones served by the Cities of Mound, Maple Plain, Long Lake, and <br /> Wayzata; and <br /> WHEREAS , since the inception of established fire zones, the <br /> City of Long Lake has relocated its fire station to a closer proximity <br /> to a part of Wayzata' s fire zone; and - � <br /> WHEREAS, a study of response time by the City of Wayzata' s <br /> Fire, Department, the City of Lonq Lake' s Fire Department, Orono�' s Ci�ty <br /> Planner and Chief of Police have determined that response time would be <br /> greatly improved by allowing the City of Long Lake to service part of <br /> the existing fire zone now served by the City of Wayzata; and- <br /> � WHEREAS, on December 6, 1982 and December 16, 1982, the City <br /> of Orono met with Fire Chiefs of Long Lake and Wayzata Fire Departments <br /> to review fire call response time findings; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was agreed that the fire zone boundaries serv�.ng <br /> the City of Orono by the Cities of Long Lake and Wayzata should be <br /> realigned to provide greater response time. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the � <br /> City of Orono approvesthe Long Lake-Wayzata Fire Zone Boundarychange <br /> as the attached map indicates , effective January 1, 1983 . _ <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a Regular <br /> Meeting held December 13, 1982. <br /> � � <br /> William B.
