Schall, 605 Park Lane - <br />Variance - Second Review <br />NOTE: Please refer to your April 21 packet material for this <br />item. <br />Planning Commission tabled this item to allow applicants and <br />neighbors to consider a compromise to the height and extent of <br />the second floor room/storage addition over the proposed garage. <br />Staff met with the affected parties on Wednesday, May 14, and no <br />conclusions were reached, although additions' tternatives were <br />discussed. A solution might be worked out in t-,me for the May 19 <br />meeting. Any information submitted to staff Monday will be <br />delivered to you at the meeting. <br />A review of the site, and walking on the neighbor's deck, <br />indicates to me that the neighbors concerns are mainly esthetic. <br />i.e. they will feel "penned in" if a very high addition i�i <br />constructed; they will lose view of the lake at the end of Park <br />Lane although this view is minimal now; and there is a potential <br />for midwinter partial loss of sunshine to the deck if the <br />existin; roof line of Schalls home is continued. <br />
