7186.1 <br />Fa`a;4n� <br />TO: Mayor and 'ty Council <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator JU� 1� jQ. <br />DATE: July 1, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: LMCD 1987 Budget <br />Attached please find budgetary information from LMCD that is <br />required to be submitted to each of the member municipalities by <br />1 3uly of each year. <br />The requirements for the budget are projected to go up 26%. This <br />however is two years after there was a 28% decrease in levy. The <br />principal increase in expenditures is $10,000 set aside for <br />consulting services for development of a comprehensive lake <br />management plan together with attendent research and other data <br />for LMCD to take on an -expanded role as siggested in the most <br />recent Metro Task Force study of the lake. In the overall <br />increase in municipality contributions about $13,000 total which <br />covers a significant portion of the increases. <br />As you will note in the attached letter the City needs to review <br />the budget and forward any comments it may have to its Director. <br />It is anticipated that JcEllen Hurr be in attendance at the July <br />28th meeting at which time the Council can give any comments or <br />concern it may have regarding the budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff recommends acceptance of the budget as outlined. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by , to accept the <br />information and the recommend-ation from staff regarding the LMCD <br />1987 3udget and that those members present any comments they have <br />to Orono's Director on the LMCD at the July 28, 1986 Council <br />meeting.
