Residences on both sides of applicant are set back
approximately equal distance from lake, hence, enclosure of porch
causes a 12' encroachment into average setback. Existing trees,
and bushes, already obscure neighbor's lake views to the side,
and the extreme view angle to the side would limit these views
regardless. In staff's opinion, no substantial view encroachment
will occur as a result of the proposed porch. I talked with
neighbor to the east; he is in favor of approval, and he informs
me that neighbor to the west is moving.
