Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />1022 S A. 3CHALL <br />-605 PARK LANE <br />VARIANCE <br />PUBLIC HEARING 12:35 - 1:01 A.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />was noted. <br />Mr. & Mrs. Charles Schall were present for this matter <br />along with their builder, 1.1arty Bethke. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron explained the <br />request or hardcover and setback variances to construct <br />a new attached garage, 2nd story room and entryway. The <br />proposed 221x22' garage will be 7.7' from the north lot <br />line, and a'iout 3.5' from the street. Existing hardcover <br />in the 75-250' zone is 48.8% and would increase 8.6% <br />with the proposed addition, however with the potential <br />of 9.0% in hardcover removals there would be a net <br />decrease in overali hardcover. He pointed out the areas <br />in which could be removed as hardcover. <br />Bellows stated because of the concurrent hardcover <br />removal that hardcover is not a major issue. She <br />stated that she felt the access to the garage as <br />proposed would be e;:tremely difficult. In addition, she <br />felt there was no hardship involved in needing the <br />second story room above the garage which would affect <br />the adjacent neighbor by shading their deck. <br />]b <br />
