Gerhardson, Public Works Coordinator MY OF NOW <br />DATE: June 18, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing - June 23, 1986 - West Ferndale <br />Intersection <br />Attached for review is information submitted May 12, 1986, <br />regarding the possible closure of one of the West Ferndale and <br />County Road 15 intersections. <br />The information is submitted for review again for the public <br />hearing June 23, 1986 at 7:00 P.M. <br />TO: Mayor and City Cou-cil / <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City AdministratoA� <br />Forwarded continuing to recommend closing the west leg of West <br />Ferndale. The asphalt would be removed, the ground seeded and <br />appropriate posts installed. The City would additionally work <br />with the County to extend the hard surface for an acceleration <br />lane east bound from the eastern leg. Please note attached <br />letter from Alan McDowell objecting to any close off of either <br />leg. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by I seconded by , that Council adopt <br />staff's recommendation for closing of the west leg of West <br />Ferndale to eliminate a potential safety concern and duplicate <br />maintenance. Ayes Nays __ <br />
