O1-2709 <br /> ' WHEREAS,Richard R. Shull and Anne M. Shull(hereinafter"the applicants")aze <br /> the owners of the property located at 2285 French Lake Road within the City of Orono(hereinafter <br /> "the City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 4, Block 1, and Outlot C, Johnston's French Lake Second Addition, Hennepin <br /> County, Minnesota(hereinafter"the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br /> � Zoning Code Section 10.56, Subdivision 16 (C)(1) to permit structure within 150' of a Natural <br /> Environment Lake, Section 10.56, Subdivision 16(L)(1)to pernut 3,622 s.f.(22.25%)of hardcover <br /> in 0-75' setback area where 4,381 s.f. (26.9%) exists and 0 s.f. (0%) is allowed and Section 10.56, <br /> Subdivision 16(C)(6)to permit the encroachment of 50'and 75' into the average lakeshore setback <br /> for construction of a two stall garage to the east end of the residence and a new entryway over <br /> existing steps. <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br /> Commission held a public hearing on September 17,2001,at which time all persons desiring to be <br /> heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1.
