Mauusth <br />DATE: March 26, 1986 <br />SUBJ: Home Occupation License Application of Ben Meinhardt <br />located at 3585 Sixth Avenue North <br />Mr. Feinhardt plans to purchase the 4+ acre residential property <br />ocated on the south side of Ccur:ty 'toad 6 just to the east of <br />the Otten Nursery property (See Exhibit B). Access to property <br />is at Sixth Avenue North. <br />Meinhardt's current business is located in one of the commercial <br />structures to be razed as part of the downtown bong Lake <br />improvement project.. He plans to sell his current home and <br />purchase the new site for his principal residence. The applicant <br />requires a license from the City to allow him to operate his <br />busir.e=s from his home. The existing pole barn to rear of <br />residence will serve as garage for his truck and warehouse for <br />part -. Nothing will be stored cutside. No sign?ge is planned. <br />His wife acts as his secretary. The only other empioy(�e works <br />from his own home and keeps the vehicle at his residence in <br />Foxdome. It would appear that Meinhardt's operation as proposed <br />satisfies all standards of Section 10.20 Subdivision 4(C). <br />A` Istar Electric has been used on a regular basis by the City for <br />the past few years. Mr. Mein!-rdt is a reputable local business <br />man. He plans to operate his .,usiness from ..i's residence as many <br />of our other loca; contractors. The site is well equipped to <br />serve Meinhardt's use. <br />The Building Inspector has asked to inspect the storage area once <br />the applicant has m)ved to the site. <br />All reviewi,z . .tai f members recommend approva 1 of the Home <br />Occupation License application of Ben Meirhardt fin;ling all <br />standards of the pertinent sections L)f the zoni :g code r been <br />staisfied. <br />
