L 0 <br />Dear Commissioner Main: <br />The purpose of this letter is to provide you with in`ormation <br />regarding the recent zoning changes on Big Island. ,,`.ached is a <br />complete copy of OrJinance No. 246 as adopted last Le..ember 30, 1982. <br />The Veterans' Camp existed as an unlisted, non -conforming use under <br />all previous zoning ordinances for the Island. The new RS Seasonal <br />zoning now defines the Veterans' Camp, whether publicly or privately <br />operated, as a conditional use. The intent of the ordinance was to <br />recognize the nature and extent of camp operation as it has been <br />used in the recent past. <br />Please refer to ordinance Section 34.363(d) for specific regulations <br />now in effect. As with other conditional use permits, and pursuant <br />to Minnesota Statutes Section 462.3595, a formal City Council resolution <br />(permit) will be adopted and filed In the chain of title of the property <br />to specify the extent of existing cam,. use. In order to expedite <br />this work, would you please take time: to respond to the following: <br />1. Verify the correct tax parcel PID numbers as shown on the attached <br />blue notice form (W . Then have the appropriate person sign <br />and return the green form (*3) which will be forwarded to Hennepin <br />County for combination of tax parcels. <br />2. Please provide the City with a copy of the lease/operating agr-ement <br />with the concerned veterans' group so we can determines what functions <br />they are responsible for. <br />3. The common dining area should be licensed by Hennepit, County <br />Environmental Sanitation Department. Please provide a copy of <br />the current license and inspection reports. <br />4. The concerned veterans' group has applicd fur the 1983 group use <br />do^k license" from the City and Lake Minnetonka Conservation District. <br />tverythinq is in order nere. <br />
