MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCTI, MEETING HELD MARCH 10, 1986 <br />AT`I'r.NDANCE. 7:00 PM <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Mayor Butler, Councilmembers <br />Adams and Frahm. Absent: Councilmembers Grabek and <br />Hamme_el. The following represented the City staff: <br />City Administrator Bernhardson, Public Works Coordinator <br />Cnnrha.-dson, Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth, <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron, Building <br />Inspe-•tor Jacobs, and City Recorder Peterson. City <br />Attorney Barrett was also present. <br />It wa3 moved by Co�_.iicilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams, to approve the Consent Agenda* <br />subject to removal of Item #21 (Planning Commission <br />Appointn. it). Motion, Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmembar Adams, to approvQ the tinutes of the <br />February 24, 19 - Council meetir.o. Motion, Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />PLANKING COMPISSION COMMENTS <br />Planning Commission Chairman Kelley wes present. He <br />stated that they would appreciate invo,vement by the <br />community regarding the Highway 12 Corridor project, the <br />mere people that show up the bet...: for everyone. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />„, this time, Jorr.y Wheeler, 3399 Crystal Ray Rd., read <br />a petition signed by approximately 100 signers <br />requesting the reappointment of William Sime to the <br />Planning Commission. He noted that there was alot of <br />disappointment voiced about. Ue� apparent. lack of respect <br />for the publics' desires by the City Council. He asked <br />the City Council to explain why two other Planning <br />Commission representatives we r,_- reappointed and Mr. Sime <br />was not.. <br />Mayor Butler stated that she has already stated for the <br />record her feel irigs regarding the subject which are in <br />the minutes from the December 9, 1985 Council meeting. <br />Councilmember Adams responded by stating that the <br />Council was ready to make the two appointments made and <br />were not ready to make the third appointment for rf2asons <br />which are in the public record. <br />Mr. Wheeler asked Councilmember Adams if that reason was <br />because Mr. Sime was not a "team player'? <br />
