Conditional Use Permit <br />The Wayzata Country Club operates a golf course and private club <br />under a conditional use permit issued September 13, 1968, pursuant to <br />the 1967 rezoning of the City. Since that date, the Wayzata Country <br />Club has applied for and been granted many permits and conditional use <br />permits for structural additions to the property. No conditional use <br />permits or permits for gradinq/excavating work are known to have been <br />issued until 1981. At that time Wayzata Country Club was admonished <br />by City staff to apply for an after -the -fact conditional uss permit <br />for grading work in a pond near Old Long Lake Road. That conditional <br />use permit was granted to Wayzata Country Club after a Public Hearing <br />at the Planninq Commission meeting of 2/2/81, in which the Planning <br />commission gave the Wayzata Country Club representarive present the <br />impression that. this matter could best be handled by staff and should <br />not need Council review. Pursuant. to the Planning Commission <br />recommendation for approval of a conditional use permit, the former <br />City Administrator took a telephone poll of the Council and the item <br />appeared on the consent agenda at the next Council meeting. <br />
