MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCII, MEETING HELLS JANUARY 13, 1986 <br />#996 JAMES MCNAUGHTON continued <br />suitable under a full -year usage and i.n this climate. <br />James Mc Naughton was present for this natter and <br />stated that the original proposal was not designed for <br />permanent dal.ly use. fie also noted the need for a turn <br />around for safe access onto Shadywood Road. <br />Assistant Zoring Administrator Gaffron further explained <br />the new pr,_)posed plan, noting that applicant had <br />demonstrat 2d he could install a paved driveway which <br />would in -tease hardcover to just under 3 %. <br />Counci lmpmber Frahm stated that he felt strongly about <br />not granting additional variances, especially regarding <br />hardcover, to new projects like this one which were <br />previously granted a vari.ance to be allowed to be built. <br />It was moved <br />by Councilr,.ember <br />Hammerel, seconded by <br />Councilmember <br />Grabek to <br />adopt Resolution <br />#1908 approving <br />the variance <br />allowing <br />a maximum of <br />35A hardcover. <br />Motion, Ayes <br />3, Nays 1. <br />Councilmember <br />Frahm voted nay <br />based on his previous comments. <br />#997 EUGENE ROSENTHAL* <br />640 TONRAWA RUJAD <br />PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Hammerel, to approve the preliminary <br />subdivision as proposed. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />#998 MAUREEN S. BELLOWS* <br />265 BROWN ROAD SOUTH <br />PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION <br />Charles and Maureen Fellows were present for this <br />matter. <br />#1000 WILLIA, <br />2160 WAYZATA <br />VARIANCE. <br />RESOLUTION <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Hammerel, to approve the preliminary <br />subdivision as proposed. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />%R <br />YARD <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the reque�:t for <br />a variance to acid additional signage for shopping center <br />ust' . <br />William Wear was present for this matter. He stated <br />that he is requesting to put a 21' sign by the east <br />driveway for a tenant which proposes a time and <br />temperature sign which lists the tenants Name also. <br />10 <br />
