MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL HEFTING HELD JAN[IARY 13, 1986 <br />LAKE MINNETONKA USE AND ACCESS continued <br />It. was moved by Acting Mayor Adams, seconded by <br />Councilmember Hammerel, to approve staff's <br />recommendation directing staff to explore the <br />feasabili.ty of off -site parking and report back on <br />January 27th on that alternative. Motion, Ayes 3, Nays <br />1. <br />Councilmember Frahm voted nay eating that no money <br />should be spent until a committment is made by DNR as <br />previously stated. <br />RESIDENTIAL. BOAT DOCK ALLOWANCE - JOELLEN HURR <br />LMCD Representative JoEl len Hurr requested input from <br />the Council. on their concerns regarding the proposed <br />ordinance relating to limitations on boats. <br />Councilmember Grabek stated that he felt imposing a fee <br />created a penalty to taxpaying lakeshore property <br />owners. In addition, he felt that by requiring <br />property owners to prove cwnership for more than four <br />boats and pay a Fee would not solve the problem of <br />renting dock slips. <br />Council agreed with Councilmember Grabek's opinion and <br />directed LMCD representative Llurr to work to have the <br />ordinance amended to eliminate the requirement of <br />registering boats with the LMCD and utilizing current <br />state and federal registrations. The limitation of <br />boats owned by the property owners would be enforced <br />only by complaint. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Planning Commission member J. Diann Goetten was present <br />and had no comments at this time. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />Trere were no comments from the public at this time. <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />1852 WILLIAM GRF.GORY* <br />141.0 SHORELINR DRIVE <br />CONDITIONAL. USE. PERMIT <br />It was moved by Council.memher Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember liammerel, to table this matter per <br />applicant's request. ur.ti 1 August when the City may have <br />more appropriate information for dealing with this issue <br />based on development to date of the 'omprehensive Storm <br />Water Management Man. Motion, Ayes 4, Mays 0. <br />
