COUNUL MEE(ING <br />JAN 27 1966 <br />TO: Mayor and City d jQF MNO <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administratov � <br />DATE: January 17, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: Highway 12 Accidents/WSI Letter <br />Attached please find a letter that has been received from Terry <br />Blount of Washington Scientific outlining traffic problems <br />associated with their entrance off of Highway 12. We are. <br />currently studying the situation and will be including that as <br />part of our study of Highway 12 to see if there are solutions to <br />remedy this and other potential traffic problems in the area. <br />In addition to the solutions mentioned in the letter additional <br />solutions could include: <br />- Prohibition uZ left turns into the property <br />- nevelopment of a service road to direct all traffic <br />either to Old Crystal Bay Road or Willow Drive and to <br />limit the turning movements off Highway 12 between those <br />two intersections in much the same way as has been <br />discussed for the north Sid,-. <br />We are communicating this to Washington Scientific indicating to <br />them that we will be attempting to develop a recommendation over <br />the next three to four months. <br />Should you have any further questions or comments, please feel <br />free to contact me. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - moved by _ seconded by , that Council <br />s accept the recommendation of taff to explore aiternatives for <br />improvement of the traffic situation as related in the letter <br />from Washington Scientific dated January 15, 1986.
