RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> . ��SH�4� NO. � � � � <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL ST. EDWARDS CHURCH <br /> SANITARY SEWER AND WATER SERVICE <br /> ASSESSMENT ROLL <br /> WHEREAS, the property owner has signed a petition for a local improvement requesting <br /> completion of an assessment project for sanitary sewer and water service improvements. <br /> WHEREAS, on November 8, 1999 the Orono City Council approved Resolution#4381 <br /> adopting Assessment Levy#14807 beginning inthe year 2000 with a principal amount of$13,993.00 <br /> for five(5)years at an annual interest rate of 6.5%for costs associated with sewer and water service <br /> extension to the property. <br /> • � � WHEREAS, the City of Orono wishes to amend Assessment Levy#14807 to add$3,696.00, <br /> as Project#2236 to this assessment for City of Plymouth sewer and water connection charges, to <br /> be assessed beginning in year 2001. This supplemental assessment amount will be at the same <br /> interest rate and time period as Assessment Levy#14807. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota: <br /> l. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is <br /> � hereby accepted and shall contribute the special assessment against the land named therein, <br /> and each tract of land therein includes is hereby found to be benefitted by the proposed <br /> improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. <br /> 2. Such supplemental assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over � <br /> a period of 4 years,the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday' � ' <br /> in January 2001 and shall bear interest at the rate of 6.5%per annum from January 1, 2001 <br /> through December 31, 2001. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added <br /> interest for one year on all unpaid installments. <br /> 3. The owner of any properly so assessed may,at any time,pay to the City Treasurer the entire <br /> amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the <br /> year in which such payment is made.
