W <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> o NO. 7646 <br /> EsH <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING <br /> 2026 CITY EMPLOYEE PAY SCALE AND BENEFITS <br /> WHEREAS,the City Administrator is responsible for annually presenting pay <br /> adjustments for City employees; and <br /> WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been appropriated in the proposed 2026 Annual <br /> Budget to fund the recommended pay adjustments and such other matters of compensation as <br /> herein specified. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. That the City's pay scale be increased to reflect a 2% market adjustment and 3% <br /> cost-of-living increase in employee wages. <br /> 2. That the City's cafeteria benefit plan contribution for non-union employees will be <br /> full health insurance premium coverage plus $100.00 and $100.00 for waived <br /> coverage. <br /> 3. That all City employees using their own vehicles for approved work-related <br /> business shall be compensated at a rate allowed by the IRS (2025 is currently$0.70 <br /> per mile). <br /> 4. That the 2026 Safety Shoe Reimbursement will remain at$300 for employees that <br /> qualify for this reimbursement. <br /> 5. Longevity pay for qualifying employees will be $0.10 per hour for each year of <br /> service once an employee reaches eight years of service. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on December 8, <br /> 2025. <br /> ATTEST: CITY OF ORONO <br /> Christifflircan, C , Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />
