TO: Mayor and City Council 'ryfr( - - <br />PROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrato' i <br />DATE: December 4, 1985 <br />SUBJECT: 1986 Salary Schedule - General Employees <br />Attached please find the individual as Iary schedule as reflected <br />in the budget with a 59 increase for general employees. It is <br />anticipated that once the results of the comparable worth study <br />are available that there may be additional recommendations and. <br />salary adjustments in 1986. <br />The comparable worth study by Control Data Corporation is running <br />about a month and a half behind schedule and it is anticipated <br />that we will have initial results about the end of December. <br />To date we have had two negotiation sessions with LELS for their <br />1986 contract, however, at this time have not reached substantial <br />progress to be able to report at this time. As mentioned <br />previously the current negotiation posture is to maintain <br />internal equity with the other staff on many of the compensation <br />items together with the 49 increase on salary. <br />RECOMMENDATION - That the Council adopt the attached salary <br />ec�d'u1a iesoTut:on for general City employees for 1986. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by , that the City <br />Council adopt Resolution establishing lnitia� salary schedule <br />for 1986 for general employees.
