Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323 <br />Phone (952) 249-4600 Fax (952) 249-4616 <br />NOTICE <br />The Planning Commission will hold public hearings in the Council Chambers at 2780 Kelley <br />Parkway on Monday, July 15, 2002, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the matter of reviewing the following <br />land use applications: <br />1. #02-2776 <br />2. #02-2791 <br />3. #02-2797 <br />4. #02-2798 <br />5. #02-2799 <br />6. #02-2800 <br />7. #02-2801 <br />Hennepin County, 3880 Shoreline Drive, requests renewal variances to <br />permit construction of a salt and sand storage structure on the property and a <br />renewal conditional use permit to permit construction of a stormwater <br />management pond on the property. <br />David and Jodi Rahn, 1385 Rest Point Road, request variances to hardcover <br />and lakeshore setback to permit a 24' X 24' garage addition and walkway <br />located 70' from the OHWL of Lake Minnetonka. <br />Jim Murphy and Sandra Smith, 30 Orono Orchard Road, request a <br />conditional use permitto allow an additional horse on property located in RR- <br />lB zoning district. <br />Fred Shearer, 1405 Park Drive, requests variances to street setback, side <br />setback and hardcover in 75-250' setback zone to permit construction of an <br />attached garage. <br />Teresa Koch, 2225 Bayview Place, requests to renew variances to permit <br />construction ofa new residence on the property in the LR-1 C zoning district <br />for lot area of7,515 s.f . where 21,780 s.f. is required; a width of 50' where <br />100' of lot width is required; and a variance to permit 314 's.f. (42%) <br />hardcover within the 250-500' lakeshore setback where 30% is allowed to <br />provide additional surface area for a driveway. <br />Marlys McCarty, 225 Tonka Avenue, requests variances to permit <br />construction of a new residence on the property in the LR-1 A zoning district <br />for a front yard setback of 16 .2' where 5 0' is required and a rear yard setback <br />of 30' where 50' is required. <br />Kathy Melin, 3309 Crystal Bay Road, requests variances to permit <br />construction of a three season porch oµ the lake side of the residence to <br />permit an encroachment into the average lakeshore setback; to permit <br />structure within 75' of the Ordinary High Water Level of Lake Minnetonka <br />where a 75' setback for hardcover and structure is required; to permit 4,103 <br />s.f. (21.3%) hardcover within the 0-75' lakeshore setback where 0% is <br />allowed.
