The City shall reimburse employees for costs incurred for <br />conferences, classes and eesinars that the City [-quires an <br />employee to attend as follows: <br />a. Mileage to and from destination and/or transportatioa <br />b. Tuition or fees for conferences and aeminers <br />C. Required lunch or Ironer out of the Metro area as <br />provided in a separate City policy <br />d. Textbooks <br />e. Lodging if necessitated by locstian <br />2. The City shal l nct pay any wages to the emp_oyes should the <br />class, seminar or meeting occur outside the estaolished offrca <br />hours unless so required by law for nor. -exempt employees. <br />3. If the City does not require the employow to Attend, tie <br />employee snall be reimbursed only for those items approved in <br />advance by the department head. <br />310. SSVR1urCR <br />Employees who resign cr retire in good standing with praper <br />notification shall be eligible for the following benefits upon <br />terwination: <br />a. Payment of secured vacation at the rate cf pay at which <br />the employee terminates, not to exceed 248 hours in <br />total. <br />t.
