Informed that stp:C might recoam►end <br />approval to the County Board after reviewing the propoaair. Several <br />conceptual designs for the site were sent for county's roj iew along with <br />a request for their Rupport. Proposal is contingent upon acquisition <br />and developability of Snug Harbor site. <br />7. Site: Minnetonka Portable Dredging Company <br />Location: South shore or Gideon Bay adjacent to County Road 19 in Shore- <br />vood <br />Comments: Site leas approximately 370' of lakeshore and is in good loca- <br />tion. tins good access potential. Owner will sell "if the price is <br />right." Asked him what price would be right. Response: $1 million. <br />8. Sitc: Excelsior Commons <br />Location: In Excelsior on south shore between Gideon Bay an,i Excelsior <br />Bay <br />Comments: Property is owned by the City of Excelsior. Sit- is a 15-acre <br />park with picnic area, swimming beacti, playground, sortball fields, <br />tennis courts and bandstand. Municipal marina for wet storage of boats <br />available to Excelsior residents. Tor- raphy may lend itself to public <br />access development. Conflirtn with existing park uses and location on <br />the lake in regard to existing boat traffic patterns may not. <br />9. Site: old Railroad Right-of-k►rry <br />Location: Between Excelsior Bay and St. Alban's Bay off of Minnetonka <br />Boulevard <br />Comments: Site has p-ssibilities of improvements for shore fishing uses <br />but is too small fo. public accer-,: development. Currently being used as <br />a commercial facility. <br />10. Site: Excelsior Boat and Motor Mart <br />Location: Southwest shore of St. Alhan's Illy off of Highway 7 and <br />Minnetonka Boulevard <br />Comments: Owner was contacted and asked if lie would be interested :n <br />selling to the i*,NP. for public nccesri purposes.
