Governor of Minnesota <br />102 State Capitol 122 State Capitol <br />St. Prul, MN 55155 St. Paul, MN 55155 <br />RE: Request for Comprehensive Review by the Metropolitan Council <br />of Lake Minneto;.ka Access and Management <br />Dear Members of the Executive Council: <br />Thir letter responds to your request that the Metropolitan Council conduct a <br />comprehensive review of access to Lake Minnetonka and make recommendations to <br />ti,e Executive Council which considers the public's right to use/enjoy the lake <br />within environmental, safety, user satisfaction, land vse and other public <br />service constraints. <br />My staff has prepared the enclosed mission statement describing what the <br />Council will do in response to your request and a review procedure that <br />describes how the Council will conduct the review. I hope that this meets your <br />intentions. If not, please contact Bill Lester, Special Assistant to the Chair <br />(291-6630), so that we can modify our approach as necessary.
