Dear Notary, <br />In 1994 the statutes dealir,ig with notary commissions were amended. The significant changes are as follows: <br />• AU existing commisslor\s which would have expired after January 31, 1995 but before January 31, 2000 will <br />automatically expire on January 31, 1995. <br />• The term of notary commissions was changed from 6 to 5 years and all commissions were given the same <br />expiration date (on January 31st of each fifth year following January 31, 1995) . . ' <br />According to our records, your current notary commission will expire on or after January 31, 1995, but before <br />January 31, 2000. If you do not wish to renew your present commission you may Ignore this bllllng and your <br />commission Yflll autoniatlcally expire on January 31, 1995. · <br />However, if you wish to conlinue yo_ur commission after January 31, 1995 you must complete the following steps: <br />1, Pay the "commission renewal fee" ldenllfled on the reverse side of this card. (If your commission would have ex- <br />pired after January 1, 1996, but before January 31, 2000, your ri,npV{al fee has beeen adjusted to give you credit <br />1 for the un-expired pof'lion of your commission). <br />2. Make check or money ordE!r payable to: Minnesota Department of Commerce. (NOTE: NO CASH ACCEPTED). <br />3, Make any name or addres~ corrections directly on the rl)verse side of this card. <br />4, Return this card with your renewal.fee as soon as possible. <br />5.
