1,2,3 Recommendation: When County Road 15 between Wa;zata and Navarre <br />needs improvement, it should be designed and managed as a two-lane <br />scenic parkway preserving the historical istas of this unique <br />lakeshore roadway. Improvements should rovide, where <br />environmentally possible, bike and hiking trails and sc_nic parking <br />areas. County and State standards should be modified to allow the <br />roadway to be classified as a scenic parkway. <br />1,2,3 Recommendation: If your community has a trail plan, the task force <br />recommends that the plan be implemented to improve shore access. <br />1, 3 Recommendation: Implementing agencies and Orono should cooperate <br />in monitoring any future land use changes at existing commercial <br />access sites and should consider public access use prior to any <br />rezoning for non -access use. <br />1,2,3 Recommendation: When managing access sites and when considering <br />new lakeshore development, particular attention should be given to <br />the goal of improving access for fishing craft and small recreation <br />boats. <br />
