City Of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORI%ING EXECUTION OF <br />LETTER OF INTENT AND JOINT a-rMERS AGREEMENT <br />WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a duly constitued <br />municipality under Chapter 412 Minnesota Statutes with is own <br />police dep.irtme,it; and <br />i!kgRZAS, the County of Hennep. n is a dt.ly constitued <br />county under Chapter 873 and provides law enforcement services n <br />accordarce with Minnesota Statutes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Oronc has noed on a temporary basis <br />for one patrol office; not to exceed four (4) months starting 1, <br />September 1985; a,id <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hennepin is able to supply such a <br />qualified officer ender a joint powers arrangement as provided <br />for in Minne:�ota Statute 436.05 under the conditions outlined in <br />attachment of the letter of intent dated August 22, 1985; and <br />WHEREAS, the letter of intent provides the basis for <br />initiating such services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the City of Orono th.it it desires such services •ander the term% <br />outlined in the l,.�t ter of intent Jated August 22, 1985, aid <br />hereby resolves to enter into the needed joint powers agreem-rit <br />under these terms an-i, <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that its Administrator and Police <br />Chief may jointly execute the appropriate letter of intent and <br />joint powers agreement in line with the conditions of the letter <br />of intent. <br />Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 26th day of <br />Au'lust, 1985. <br />M :, r y C Butter, Mayor_-- <br />A,r,rF:ST: <br />��o�oti�Y �t: RaiTin, _c'Cfy "C1"rrT___'_ <br />
