ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE: PROVIDING FOR IT'S ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT: REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERAr10N, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, DEMOLITION, CONVERSION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF ORONO; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFORE; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF: ORDINANCE NO. 12 OF THE CITY OF ORONO AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. 'he City Council of the City of Orono does ordain as follows: Section 1 - Section 12.01 of the municipal Code of Orono is her,nby amended as follows: Subd. 1. Building Code. The Minnesota State Building Code, estate she pursuant to Mo. Stars. 168.60 through 168.73; one copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk is hereby adopted as the building code for the City of Orono. Such co-i- is hereby incorporated in this ordinance as completely as if set out in full. A. The 1985 Edition of the State Building Code Minnesota Rules Chapters 1300, 1305, 1310, 1315, 1320, 1330, 1335, 1340, 1355, 1360 and 1365 effective 1/14/85 adopts by reference the following codes. (1.) 1982 Edition of the Uniform Building Coie, identified as "UBC"; (2.) 1984 Edition of the National Electrical Code, identified as (�.) 1981 Ameri, National Standard Safety Code for Elevators, ^umbwaiters, Escalators and Moving Walks, identified as ANSI 417.1 - 1981 and Supplement, ANSI A17.la - 1982. (4.) Minnesota Plumbing Code, Minnesota Rules Chapter 4715.0100 - .3160 and 4715.5000 - .6000 (5.) Flood Proofing Regulations, June 1972, Office of the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army. (6.) Minnesota Heating, Ven'ilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Code, Minnesota Rules Chapter 1345. (7.) Rules 1Jr Energy Conservation Alternatives in construction Minnesota Rules Chapter 4215 adopts by reference the 1983 CABO Model Energy Code.
