ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE: <br />PROVIDING FOR IT'S ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT: REGULATING <br />THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, <br />MOVING, REMOVAL, DEMOLITION, CONVERSION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, <br />USE, HEIGHT, AREA AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL BUILDINGS AND/OR <br />STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF ORONO; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF <br />PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFORE; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR <br />THE VIOLATION THEREOF: ORDINANCE NO. 12 OF THE CITY OF ORONO AND <br />ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />THEREWITH. <br />The City Council of the City of Orono does ordain as follows: <br />Section 1 - Section 12.01 0£ the municipal Code of Orono is <br />hereby amended as follows: <br />Subd. 1. Building Code. The Mint •sota State Building Code, <br />estabrls�ied pursuant to Mn. Stats. 16B.60 through 168.73, one <br />copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk is <br />hereby adopted as the building code for the City of Orono. Such <br />code is hereby incorporated in this ordinance as completely as if <br />set out in full. <br />A. The 1985 Edition of the State Building Code Minnesota <br />Rules Chapters 1300, 1305, 1310, 1315, 1320, 1330, 1335, <br />1340, 1355, 1360 and 1365 effective 1/14/85 adopts by <br />reference the following codes. <br />(1.) 1982 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, <br />identified as "UBC"; <br />(2.) 1984 Edition of the National Electrical Code, <br />identified as "NEC"; <br />(3.) 1981 American National Standard Safety Co9e for <br />Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators and Moving Walks, <br />identified as ANSI A17.1 - 1981, and Supplement, ANSI <br />A17.la - 1982. <br />(4.) Minnesota Plumbing Code, Minnesota Rules Chapter <br />4715.9190 - .3160 and 4715.5000 - .6000. <br />(5.) Flood Proofing Regulations, June 1972, Office of <br />the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army. <br />(6.) Minnesota Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning <br />and Refrigeration Code, Minnesota Rules Chapter 1345. <br />17.) Rules for Energy Conservation Alternatives in <br />Construction Minnesota Rules Chapter 4215 adopts ".y <br />reference the 1983 CABO Model Energy Code. <br />1 <br />
