MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SCHOOL BOARD c'!% <br />OF ORONO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 278 <br />HELD ON JULY 8, 1985 <br />The annual reorganization meeting of the School Board's! Ord'h/d Ind%yjii�nt <br />School District No. 278 was held on Monday, July 8, 1985. <br />Present: Dave MCKown James Franklin Ja eiter <br />Don Anderson William Levering Will enholt <br />Kitty Crosby Lucie Taylor <br />The meeting was called to order and nominations for chairperson were requested <br />by Mr. Seiter. <br />UPON MOTION by Bill Levering, seconded by Kitty Crosby, Dave MCKown was nomi- <br />nated for chairperson, nominations ceased, and Mr. McKown was elected by unani- <br />mous ballot. <br />UPON NOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Lucie Taylor, Bill Levering was nomi- <br />nated for vice chairperson. Kitty Crosby MOVED, Jim Franklin seconded that <br />nominations cease and Mr. Levering was elected by unanimous ballot. <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Bill Levering, the yearly salary for <br />Clerk was established as 5500 and the yearly salary for Treasurer was <br />established as $100. <br />UPON MOTION by Bill Levering, seconded by Jim Franklin, Kitty Crosby was nomi- <br />nated for Clerk. Lucie Taylor MOVED, Bill Levering seconded that nominations <br />cease and Mrs. Crosby was elected by unanimous ballot. <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Lucie Taylor, Don Anderson was nomi- <br />nated for Treasurer. Jim Franklin MOVED, Kitty Crosby seconded that nominations <br />cease and Mr. Anderson was elected by unanimous ballot. <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, secc,ded by Jim Franklin, the minutes of the April <br />8, 1985 special meeting were approved as presented. <br />UPON NOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Jim Franklin, the minutes of the April <br />22, 1985 special meeting were approved as presented. <br />UPON MOTION by Jim Franklin, seconded by Kitty Crosby, the minutes of the April <br />29. 1985 special meeting were approved as presented. <br />UPON MOTION by Kitty Crosby, seconded by Bill Levering, the minutes of the June <br />10, 1985 regular meeting were approved as presented. <br />Bill Levering requested that a presentation be given to the Board to provide <br />further information regarding teacher supervision and evaluation. Mr. Levering <br />stated that he felt the Board should be informed of the process/goals involved in <br />carrying out these evaluations and the work of this committee. <br />Mr. Seiter provided further information to the Board regarding the math/science <br />training program provided through funds from Title II, P.L.98-377. <br />
