Bernhardso: City Administratoz-L_) <br />Date: August 21, 1985 <br />Subject: Big Island <br />Subsequent to our last meeting I spoke with Jeff Olson, the Assistant <br />Commissioner for Veterans Affairs of the State and he indicated that he and <br />a representative from the Big Island Board of Governors were attempting to <br />set up a meeting to jointly develop a plan regarding the property. As of <br />August 20th, 1985 however, a date had not been established. It was addi- <br />tional indicated to me by an interested party living on Big Island that the <br />Board o' Governors hav_hired the architectural firm of Setter, Leach and <br />Lindstrom 10 do an evaluation of the buildings in order to develop a <br />reasonable plan regarding rehabilitation of the property. This person is <br />to get back to me with an estimated report date from the architect. Based <br />on a r-asonable date, it is our recommendation that we delay for another <br />two we As until September 9th for the passage of the resolutions regarding <br />hazardous building proceedings. <br />Should you have further questions er comments, please feel ree to <br />contact me. <br />
